Disappointing experience at Wednesday Paella event. Went to ALBARINO Tapas in Broadstairs for the Wednesday afternoon paella event and left very disappointed. The food didn’t feel like Spanish cuisine at all. For starters we got a single square of bread with a spoonful of chopped tomato, followed by 4 steamed baby peppers and a lettuce salad with walnuts, pear and blue cheese that was pretty much inedible. The paella itself was cold, sticky, and had a curry-like flavour. It had stinky mussels, pre-cooked clams, and a piece of chicken with the skin still on. The sangria was basically non-alcoh

We’ve been here a few times and always have a lovely evening. This time, we particularly enjoyed the chorizo, cod croquettes, pork skewers, gambas, pear & walnut salad, chickpea & fennel chips and the aioli which is incredible! Our Creme Catalana dessert was delicious - we could barely fit it in after the tapas! The waitress is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and was training up a young waiter on the night we visited - he found out answers to our questions if he didn’t yet know. We always come away very satisfied and this visit was no different. We will be back - hopefully when the basque

Second time dining here tonight and it really is some of the best food I’ve had out in Thanet, especially if wanting Tapas. I feel the quality and value is great and all the dishes we tried were the perfect balance and full of flavour! Would highly recommend - lovely little intimate window table in the summer gave a very authentic spanish feel as a bonus!
