We have been returning customers for quite some time and have often brought guests and friends from out of town here because we’ve always enjoyed the experience. Today was my daughter’s birthday, and she chose Garden House once again. Unfortunately, I think this may be our last visit for a while. The restaurant appeared to be noticeably understaffed, and as a result the service lacked the attentiveness and patience we had experienced in the past. The food was delicious, with a great range of sandwiches and cakes. We mentioned that the beef and horseradish sandwich came out without horseradish and the curried egg sandwich was just egg mayonnaise, but they were still lovely. We got to sit outside on the veranda under shade and this was beautiful by the river. The service was excellent, attentive and we got to enjoy unlimited iced coffees! I would highly recommend coming here for afternoon tea, slightly on the pricey side but I would still say worth it.

I have been invited couple years ago by chef so decided to try this place. Sunday date on a sunny day was a perfect opportunity to book table in the garden. From the beginning experience was terrible. We’ve been waiting in the restaurant only to be directed to the garden. Service: Our Waitress behaved like she was there for a punishment. When asked how is her day she ignored and ask what we want to drink. We had a wonderful experience at The Garden House in Cambridge! Our group of nine people were served with outstanding care and attention. The staff were warm, accommodating, and made us feel truly welcome throughout our visit. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and arrived promptly even with our large party. We really appreciated how smoothly everything went — a perfect spot for gatherings with exceptional service and atmosphere. Highly recommend!
