My stay was wonderful, from the reception to the facilities — everything was impeccable. When I arrived and opened the door, I was immediately greeted by a very pleasant and welcoming scent. The bed was perfectly made, the bathroom was beautifully tidy and inviting, and the overall atmosphere was stunning and charming. I truly have nothing but praise. The breakfast was, without a doubt, the cherry on top — everything so thoughtfully prepared, you could tell it had been put together with care so that guests would feel truly at ease. Highly recommend, and I would happily return many times over.

We booked The Corner House for a birthday treat – two adults and two children – and it felt like a proper Sunday occasion from the off. It was a roast-only menu, which suited us perfectly, and to be fair, there was a really solid selection to choose from. We kicked things off with the sharing platter for two, which set the tone nicely. But the real standout early on was the chicken puffe – genuinely one of the best I’ve had. Properly indulgent, full of flavour, and the kind of dish you end up talking about long after you’ve left. For mains, we leaned into the moment and went for a double por

The Corner House restaurant is simply superb. Warm friendly service, great wine list and delicious food. It was my husband's birthday and they really looked after us. What an excellent chef - the food is simply gorgeous. I would highly recommend this place - we'll be back!

Deborah Cameron★★★★★

My husband and I ate here with my son and his partner to celebrate his birthday. The menu offered some tantalising choices. I opted for the flatiron steak, my husband the belly pork, and the others both went for the duck. This was after delicious staters and cocktails. The wine was quality, too. While the food was good, when my steak turned out to be seriously chewy - it happens! There was absolutely no quibble from the staff when I quietly mentioned it at the till. It was immediately removed from our bill. The service was all-round excellent. Would highly recommend this place.
