⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We popped into Ciliegino and honestly… really, really good. I went for a Hawaiian pizza and yes… I asked for extra pineapple. Judge me if you want 😂 it’s elite. Slight heartbreak moment though… they forgot the extra pineapple. I noticed. I felt it. Still smashed it though. My wife had a pasta dish and apparently it was “proper yummy” (which from her is basically a Michelin star review). Had a wonderful lunch at Ciliegino in Cardiff with my wife and it really confirmed for us why it’s considered one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. The food was absolutely full of flavour from start to finish. We shared calamari and bruschetta to start — both fresh, well prepared, and a great way to begin the meal. I came to Ciliegino today for the first time since visiting with my brother who has sadly passed away, so it was quite emotional for me. Jemma was honestly so kind, compassionate and lovely from the moment I spoke to her. A flying visit to Cardiff with family, bustling shopping centre, needed some food but fancied something with real flavour. Walking past Ciliegino my wife liked the menu and there you have it, antipasta duo, garlic bread, sour dough bread and oils with fries too followed by their fantastic looking/tasting pizzas. Thanks Ciliegino for a friendly enjoyable meal. Ps. No photo of pizzas ...couldn't wait to get stuck in : )
