We visited Bordo Lounge four times during our stay in Carlisle and ended up returning again and again because it was so welcoming — especially as a dog-friendly venue. Our party varied from 2 to 6 people across the visits, and every single meal was thoroughly enjoyed. In fact, we failed to get photos of most dishes because they disappeared so quickly! My absolute favourite was the chicken shawarma flatbread — absolutely fabulous. Right in the centre of Carlisle, Bordo Lounge is a nice friendly relaxing Cafe/Bar. It has a good selection of food and drinks on the menu and it is reasonably priced. Nice for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat while out shopping or to start off a night out. It's a good location for tourists visiting The Cathedral, Tullie House Museum and the Castle. It welcomes our four legged friends too.

Me and my boyfriend came here to have dinner and ended up getting a premium hot chocolate and a matcha latte. Unfortunately, the matcha latte was not drinkable. It tasted off and we couldn't drink any more of it. Either there needs to be a change of matcha powder or the way it was made. The hot chocolate had still bits of powder and even if it was drinkable it could have been better. We ended up not being able to get food here but we got shots instead which were very good. The pancake shot and the baby guiness tasted great and would recommend.

Lovely restaurant with extremely wait staff! Been twice and the food is always absolutely amazing, would always recommend the beef brisket. Had some issues with food coming out slow/cold, but the staff was so nice to us to help fix the issue, it was lunch rush so it's not exactly shocking.
