Lovely afternoon tea using a voucher from friends… mixed finger sandwiches were lovely could’ve just done with a little bit more pepper. Fruit scones were warm and delicious.. ample fresh cream and jam..

Had roast for 4 of us - Lamb and beef roast slightly over, chicken decent and soft, vege well flavoured, potato not crispy on the outside, good gravy. Love the quaint environment, perfect for brunch and lunch chit chat. Fast and polite but you'll have to chase them for things cause they seem understaffed.

When I went to the grumpy mole, although I was sat outside, service was great and food came out quickly and it wasn’t hard to call a waiter over to order more drinks. Sometimes when you’re outside, it’s easy to be forgotten about. I ordered the trio of roasts, it was good but not the best. The chicken, vegetables and cauliflower cheese were totally plain, had no flavour whatsoever but the roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding were good and the lamb and beef were okay, I was just happy it wasn’t tough.
