November 2025. Went as a party of 6 for an early dinner. Bar service was very slow before 6.00pm as there was only one person behind the bar and he was taking bookings, making and serving coffee to tables as well as trying to serve drinks to customers at the bar. All ok after 6.00pm when two bar people we on. The food on the other hand was excellent, much better than on my last visit. I had the mixed grill, very tasty and plenty of it, would order again. Had an absolutely lovely meal at The Burnt Post today. I had the gammon steak which was cooked perfectly — juicy, full of flavour, and a really generous portion. My mum and stepdad both had the sirloin steaks and said they were spot on too, cooked exactly how they wanted them. Everything came out hot and fresh, the sides were great, and the portions were excellent. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and brilliant value for money. We’ll definitely be back!

This used to be our go to place for a good value, safe, quality meal. Sadly that's not the case now. Poor presentation of the food. It really does not look like a plate that you've paid £18-£30 for. A garlic mushroom starter for>£8?? It was inedible. A handful of cheap virgin mushrooms thrown in an iron skillet with a bit of cheese and baked. The pizzas are their only saving grace. But still overpriced. All an example of taking advantage of higher costs... passing it on to the customer and then milking it for margin.
