Early dinner this evening… beautiful. It’s simple food with fresh ingredients cooked exceptionally well! Scallops and duck egg starters… wow! The duck egg cooked beautifully and the Bombay potato and sauce was incredible. The scallops were cooked to perfection and it was a really easy dish (although I only had a little taste) Lamb rump and Duck for mains, cooked perfectly and so so tender. I had a fantastic experience at Bates at 121. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing, with every dish feeling fresh and high quality. The staff were friendly, professional, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I also loved the cosy atmosphere, which made it perfect for a relaxed meal. Although it’s a little more expensive than an average restaurant, the quality of the food and service made it well worth the price. I would definitely visit again for a special occasion and would highly recommend it to others.
