I spotted the beautiful tiled steps as I was looking for somewhere to get a drink and quick bite to eat before heading to the station. It has a beautiful interior and is obviously very popular as there was a wait for a table. It was a little disappointing to see someone who came in after me having their order taken before me, but it was far more disappointing to see that my gluten free scone, although delicious, was the same price but half the size of the standard cheese scones. I queried this when I paid but was told this was because it was difficult to make the gluten free the same size.🤷‍

I visited this cafè for the first time, yesterday 25.2.2026. It wasn’t pre-planned or one that I’d reviewed online first but from the outside, it looked too good to walk by. It had a nice little seating area by the front street, which may be nice if the streets weren’t so busy with passers-by. After 1.5 flights of stairs, I found the main cafè. The decor throughout the building seemed quite bohemian to me. Various green leafed plants, mirrors (helping to create an impression of space) and also a variety of ceiling lights. I loved it. I’d probably picked the busiest time, there was no music be

Would definitely recommend. The cafe is so pretty with all the frames, colourful tiles, plants everywhere and different chairs. The drinks and baked goods are also very tasty! Huge props to the staff because when I went it was so crowded but they were getting orders out one after the other! We waited for a bit to be seated but they came up to us, gave us the menus to speed up the process and were just really nice in general. I really enjoyed my experience and would love to visit again when it’s not as crowded ^^

By chance chose this cafe. Welcome jovial. After climbing stairs. But worth the effort. Pot of tea and lovely halloumi filled panini, fresh varied salad, crisps and signature salad dressing, available in bottles if required for home. The room reminded me of a hippy style food outlet at a festival. Staff were very attentive and chatty. ☺️
