Lovely café with great atmosphere at the heart of Durham. Very friendly staff and great food. The chocolate orange cake (vegan) was amazing and the avocado on toast was very tasty too. We were pleasantly surprised to be given a choice of green tea - matcha and jasmine, which arrived in a proper tea pot. The prices are very reasonable for Durham city centre and there’s plenty of outdoor sitting. Highly recommended.

Honestly can’t fault this café. Proper mugs of tea, good coffee. And lovely, generous food servings. It’s clear that thought has gone into how to serve and present orders. Dog friendly even inside - ours got a water bowl and a plate of gravy bones! It’s warm, the music is just right, it’s sunny at breakfast time. Prices very fair given the cost of, well, everything. Recommended!
