We arrived on Sunday evening and were glad to see it was open. It was warm inside and the interior was attractive. The waitress was lovely. We had freshly cooked plaice, haddock and chips - all hot and delicious. A fair price compared to many pubs for the fish and chips!

I was disappointed with the portion size. I paid £10 for the fish only – no chips included – and it was much smaller than expected. For a takeaway, this is poor value for money. The fish tasted okay, but the portion size doesn't justify the price. I wouldn't order it again unless the portions improve.

Really lovely meal and great service from Katerina. She served us with a smile throughout and was genuinely helpful from the moment we arrived. I asked about separate frying because of our halal requirements, and Katerina immediately explained the gluten-free option that could cater for us, which was very reassuring. She also made recommendations for both the mains and desserts, and she got them spot on. All of us ate really well, the food was delicious and we left very happy. Excellent food, friendly service and very accommodating. We would happily come back again.

Good food, good service, very clean, popular. Overcooked halloumi imho, but perhaps that's just me. Other than that minor issue, definitely worth a visit. Edit: halloumi was apparently meant to be crispy, in which case they were cooked to perfection. Sans squeek.
