Beautiful interior and a great overall experience. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and offered a place to hang our jackets before being shown to our table. We were then offered water while we looked through the menu. The prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was excellent. The only small criticism is that the portion sizes could have been a little larger. The toilets were also very clean and well maintained. A special mention to our waitress, Alessandra, who was fantastic throughout the evening. She was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable abou

This place was great! The staff was nice, cool atmosphere with bar music, but with a fancy feel to it! The art and colors added to the atmosphere of the place. I ordered a Duck & waffle, i was a bit skeptical to the combination of duck, waffle, duck egg and mustard maple sirup. However they know what they are doing, because it tasted great! The others agreed, we were overall very pleased that we found this place and gave it a chance! If i ever return to Edinburgh, i would very much like to have this again!

It was quiet when we went but Friday night, sat everyone close together which was understandable. The iconic duck and waffle was really delicious my partner gave this 9.5/10 I had the cod and was disappointed found the flavours odd, I didn’t complain, I’m sure if I had the would have changed it but I wouldn’t get it again. Starters were nice we had mussels in a spicy broth and the pigs cheek. Over all atmosphere was a bit lacking as it was quiet but entrance and restaurant are stunning. Staff friendly attentive and were great!

My wife and I were visiting Edinburgh for the first time from the States, and decided to try Duck & Waffle for brunch, since it opens at 9:00 am on Fridays. The location in St. James Quarter is convenient to both Old Town and New Town Edinburgh, and also convenient in the mall, as it has its own entrance on the exterior of the mall. We didn’t have a reservation, but were warmly greeted at the front of house. Everybody who works there was very hospitable. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and leans into a kitschy duck theme that manages to be elegant at the same time. Of course, we
