If you're visiting Edinburgh Castle and walking along the Royal Mile, you’ve got to check out this restaurant. It’s part of a hotel run by a well-known hospitality group. The staff are super friendly, especially to tourists from abroad. They do a great job explaining the menu and suggesting what to try. One of my favorite parts was the Haggis. First time trying it, and I thought it was really tasty! It looked pretty cool too—coated in breadcrumbs and shaped like a croquette, which made it look even more tempting. It was cooked just right, with no weird or gamey smell you might worry about with

Enjoyed my first haggis dish here. Also had the porchetta and the lamp rump along with it. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Prime location in front of Parliament Square meant that outside seats were virtually impossible. But the simple interiors were cozy enough, and allowed us the peace to enjoy our meal. A nice stop on our Edinburgh visit.

We originally booked a lunch here with friends, but our schedule was a bit too tight, so we had to pivot to a quick cafe nearby. However, we were so intrigued that we came back the very next day for a lunch date, and we’re glad we did! The restaurant has a wonderful aesthetic—clean, stylish, and very 'chill.' It’s a relaxing spot to escape the bustle of the Royal Mile. The Highlights: • Service: Our waiter, Bohdan, was exceptional. He was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. • Cullen Skink: Exactly what we needed! A hot, comforting traditional soup packed with plent

Did not realize this was the restaurant for the hotel. The Porchetta Sandwich was delicious And also ordered the Fish an Chips which was perfectly seasoned unlike other salty ones we've tried. Mac and cheese was also good and we also ordered the Cullen Skink soup, also delicious. servers were all kind and polite at the same time fast! I actually thought this would be a tourist trap because of location but thankfully my judgment was wrong.
