Had a couple of pints here before the rugby, great atmosphere. Pints were decent priced and fairly good selection of drinks. Had sports on the TV’s also. We didn’t have food here but the food looked pretty good when it was coming out.

I don’t like leaving negative reviews as it seems like a nice enough pub/bar, but I wouldn’t bother with the fish and chips here. I know £17 doesn’t buy what it once did in the UK and Edinburgh is a more expensive city than many, but other than the salad it was overcooked. They seem to have perfected the art of inflating a tiny piece of haddock into a big size in the battering and frying process too. I rarely fail to finish a meal, but other than the little side salad, I felt a bit sick eating the fish and chips here and had to leave a half of it. I’m sure the other dishes are better or I had

Hey whoever is reading this 100% needs to visit this place when they visit Edinburgh. Us Aussies were lost when ordering which beer we wanted, one bar tender (male) let us try some beer and we landed on one, which was perfect. The food was absolutely perfect, we had a Steak and Ale Pie which was heavenly, also we had one allergy in our party and they accommodated to us very well, they gave us an order tablet and made it very known on the order we received that there was a clear allergy. Thank you to this amazing pub/restaurant for being us feel at ease. Love the Aussies xx

Had to make a joke about missing half my dinner 😂. Pastry was burnt, mash was dry and needed some butter or gravy or something. Not sure about the "side salad" with the pie. At least the bits of meat that weren't burnt were lovely, the irn bru was good, and we had a second dinner at home to fill us up 👌
