Popped in while we were walking in the area. Excellent pot of tea for two and a good choice of cakes, scones and shortbread. Very popular, but there were plenty of seats available. Service was also good.

Came on a Wednesday lunch for a quick bite to eat whilst on a walk. The pub itself wasn’t at all busy, but nearly all the tables were dirty and not wiped, same with the menus, sticky and left over split drinks on them. Went to the bar to order drinks and the waitress that was on kept messing up what she was putting on the till, no biggy didn’t think anything of it, then went up to order food at the bar, the same lady had her back turned to the bar, scrolling on her phone, I went back and forth from the bar 3 times before actually managing to get her attention. We called in here for a coffee and cake, it's good, when we went it was very busy, only just got a table, other people had to use the seats outside. It was nice feeding the ducks and seeing the ponies.

I've previously come here and it's been lovely. Today we visited the pub and were met by a barmaid who did not want to be there and did not want to serve us. I wasn't sure what ciders were on offer, suggested one and the answer was "no". Another barmaid did offer alternatives, hence two stars for service. My husband asked if food was being served, the response was "yes" but it sounded sarcastic. We tried to get outside but all the patio doors were locked, my husband asked if they could be opened, snappy answer was no, you can go out of the side door.
