Deborah May★★★★★We went here for brunch for my husband's birthday. Food was excellent and really hot..Delicious! I had the Wellies brunch and he had The Trough. Amazing.
Graham Chester★★★★★Wellies is off the beaten track but is well worth the diversion. Many others have also discovered Wellies so it might be a good idea to book ahead. There are plenty of tables inside, upstairs and outside. Food is excellent...I had a frittata which was the best I have ever tasted. Service is prompt and is done with old fashioned courtesy. Once you have discovered Wellies you will keep going back!
liz johns★★★Not a particularly friendly welcome, and because we hadn’t booked we were ‘sent’ upstairs. Which wasn’t a problem but it came across as second best. Hot drinks very expensive considering they are only from a machine where you press a button. Coffee was tasteless. Food was tasty but let down by the big plastic containers that everyone shared for tomato sauce and mayonnaise. Dogs welcome which was nice.
Rocks 13★★★★★We recently celebrated a baby shower at Wellies Tearoom and couldn’t have asked for a lovelier experience. From the moment we booked until the day itself, the communication was excellent, and the staff were so kind, attentive, and accommodating. The tearoom was beautifully presented—clean, charming, and welcoming. Our group of ten was served promptly, with delicious food and endless offers of tea refills, all without ever feeling rushed. It was such a special and relaxed afternoon, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. A true little gem!
