Popped into Loaf to get a morning coffee after a walk on the beach. I have been before and never had any issues, as oppose to other places on Sandgate High Street! I was greeted as I entered by the blonde lady making coffee (didn't get her name but she was lovely!) asked how my day was really chatty and polite. The latte was lovely with amazing art work. The coffee was bought over to me as I sat at the table by the window. A pleasant experience and certainly a place I will return to! The best on the high street!

I tried the cowboy beans with bacon, fried eggs and bread from the specials board. Really tasty and well cooked. Portion was generous too. Nice to see it’s dog friendly. Busy enough for a Wednesday lunch but not crowded. Prices were fair for what you get.

Our greeting from the staff was "have you booked a table?". No good morning or how are you? It went downhill from there. Service was amateur at best. Being asked for the bill before we had finished was as professional as the greeting. The menu had a lot of overpriced faire that didn't look well presented or generous. Quite a few people wandered in and wandered straight out when they saw the menu.

Ive been to Loaf a few times now and it does never disappoint! Inside is such a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with lovely and accommodating staff, happily changing parts of my order upon request. The food (avo on toast) and drink (iced coffee) were so tasty and brought out very quickly (about 15 minutes for us a group of 3). They are dog friendly aswell so the perfect place to stop while on a dog walk.
