I am writing to formally complain about a distressing experience my wife and I encountered at your Gillingham High branch while attempting to celebrate her birthday with a coffee. The incident involved rude and unprofessional behavior from staff members, which escalated unnecessarily, resulted in police involvement, and what was perceived by me as racial profiling, leaving us humiliated and unable to enjoy our visit. Good service, great staff, but I had an hour to kill while waiting in town for someone. Planned to grab a coffee and lunch and get my laptop out for work - but customers aren't allowed to use the sockets for charging purposes. Such a shame. I grabbed a Greggs instead and did my work in my car as I needed the charger.

Dont know what's happened to this place?!! Was a 'go to' place but in a matter of a couple of months Costa have managed to ruin it. Unsure if a franchise or partner arrangement for this branch to apportion responsibility. Here on New Years Eve and its unclean, rubbish on the floor and tables. The new plastic protection screen put around the serving area is an eye sore and impersonal - like Covid times again in this branch. Really necessary? Cheaper than providing security or cameras I guess, however unpleasant. The chatty welcoming staff are gone (not sure where they dispatched them to). Cur
