John Byron★★★★★5 STARS WELL DESERVED ONE OF THE BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN THE REGION. One of the highlights of coming to the UK from Australia over the years was to experiencing a really good English indian restaurant. Up until now I thought I had settled on what I felt was the best however the new Watling Rasoi has made me reconsider everything. The food and tge thought that has gone into the menu is exceptional. I love everything about this restaurant and will be travelling back to visit with them again and again in March 2026. Highly recommended!!!!@
Carla wilson★★★Visited tonight for the Wed Eve "Banquet" night. Overall good service, lovely food, but let down by the inflated drinks prices. Whilst I appreciate restaurants want to make money £5.50 for a draft coke is excessive. In our case £22 was the total just for 4 drinks! Having looked at average drink prices in restaurants, these are the prices I would expect to pay in a high end restaurant or in London, not in Gillingham! We also ordered poppadoms and the usual chutney/sauce selection and were charged for the sauces - we have not experienced this on previous visits. Makes me wonder if we have been
Mark Collins★★★★★It's the second time I've been to The Watling and both times have been excellent. Food was lovely the best Indian I've had in a long time. Also, even though they were extremely busy on a Friday evening near Christmas, the service was still good. We will be back when we are next in the area. ... PREVIOUS REVIEW In unfamiliar surroundings and looking for a nice Indian restaurant we found Watling Rasoi on Google. It seemed to have nice reviews and pictures looked good. We called on a Easter Thursday and managed to get a table within 15 minutes. Wow, it was lovely. A very friendly welcome and very
Iman Chowdhury★★★★★Absolutely delicious! The food here is authentic, halal, and bursting with flavour – every dish was cooked to perfection. The place is also comfortable with air conditioning, which made the dining experience even better. Honestly, the food is AMAZING some of the tastiest Indian dishes I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!
