Is there better breakfast bang for your buck in Glasgow? I doubt it. It’s a classic community cafe with absolute stonking prices. Only a few booths so timing is key if you want to sit in but it’s good quality food and amazing value in an iconic, retro setting.

After years of hearing about the wonders of D’Jaconelli I was finally able to experience it! What a lovely suprise it was too, staff super friendly and on top of all the order for the hungry customers. Served promptly both with a smile and a wonderful Glaswegian accent. Welcome to locals and tourists from afar! I went for the Mac and Cheese with chips and also ordered the well-renowned Oreo milkshake. I was Not dissapointed. One of those places so good you're not actually sure if you should spread the word lest it get descended upon! I went for their classic big breakfast, and it was brilliant - quality ingredients, expertly cooked (superb tatty scone technique!) and astonishing value. It's not a big place, so getting a booth might prove challenging, but it has a fantastic vintage charm, and really lovely and helpful staff. I'll be back for sure 😊
