From the Tuesday open mic, Wednesdays trad session's you will have a great night any time you go. There's live music every night also, with the best performers, especially Kirk Strachan, Eddie Sheehan, Sean McGarvey, three of the absolute best in the business!

The bouncers are, without question, some of the rudest and most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. One individual in particular was clearly on a power trip and seemed to take pleasure in being dismissive and obstructive. I was out on a work night with three colleagues, all of us completely sober and only just starting our evening, yet we were refused entry without explanation. thefirstcut★★★More of a late night, last orders venue due to its 2am licence. Bit like an Ashton lane pub of yesteryear. Crowd was very young and very studenty. That could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your preference. Decent Guinness and interior decor has some quirky character but not really my scene.
