We decided to stop in here for some food &drinks before a gig at the theatre. It’s absolutely lovely inside, very cosy vibes and great atmosphere, love that it’s dog friendly too. Food wise I got the famous chicken goujons with salt n chilli, I understand why they’re famous great crunch, juicy chicken and loved the seasoning. My sister got the mac & cheese I did steal a bite too and it was delicious very cheesy in the best way. We booked a meal before going to the King's theatre. Service was very quick, servers very attentive and food freshly cooked. We enjoyed the pork special, famous chicken goujons and the best burger. All at a decent price. Would definitely recommend.

Visited The Griffin for the first time in years and was pleasantly surprised with the food choices and lunch time deals on offer. The server was really friendly and prices incredibly fair for large portions of tasty food. The options were plentiful and we'll definitely be back. Such a gem of a spot for lunch.

Absolutely love The Griffin. A proper traditional pub full of character. Used to head in for lunch most Mondays when I worked nearby, and it was always spot on. The staff are brilliant, really friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. The food is consistently great, proper pub classics done right. Only small downside is they no longer serve Guinness and have switched to Murphy’s. Not my first choice, but understandable with rising costs and what’s involved in keeping it. Still a fantastic pub and one I’d highly recommend.
