B Lord★★★★★Dropped in for lunch today, welcomed by a lovely lady and the banter inside was brilliant, such a good vibe. Had the three course lunch for £7, amazing value, Soup was homemade and off the scale, could've had another bowl. Scotch pie chips and beans with gravy was perfect, chips were super crispy and fluffy inside. Had the hot rice pudding with fruit. This place is a Glasgow institution and I will definitely return. Loved the place
Rucksack Foodie★★★★★Like stepping back in time! greeted by a friendly staff, grabbing a couple pints & finding a seat at one of the little wooden tables in the Lounge, squeezed in between locals. 3 course lunch deal has been iconic for years at only 4£ (1£ more for a few other mains options) hearty home-cooking options, that were tasty! Our waitress was a legend, friendly and chatty buzzing around taking care of the whole place by herself.
Escape The Rules★★★★★Lovely pub! Went today for their famous 3 course lunch for £4 (I paid an extra £1 for the fish) and it was absolutely delightful. Staff were great and the place was busy so it’s obviously very popular amongst the locals as well as people trying it out for the first time. My mum often talked about the pub and it’s lunches so I thought I’d give it a go and I was not disappointed, I’ll definitely be back again soon!
Stephanie Dykes★★★★★Came here today with my partner to try the lunch menu. Foods lovely. Simple, home cooked style meals done very well. Soup was really good wanted another bowl😂. Staff really friendly. 3 courses each, coffee & can of coke for £14. Can’t be beaten. An amazing thing to do for the locals, very admirable. Will be back❤️
