Absolutely superb experience at this kfc. Drove past it on our way through grantham and decided to pop in for dinner. Not busy whatsoever aside from a few delivery drivers and a few folk in the drive thru. Lovely decor inside too. As we ordered our food at the kiosk we saw a notice for putting in your car reg for parking here! Never heard of this at a fast food restaurant before! We ordered and got our food pretty fast as we were the only customers. Food was absolutely amazing as it always is at kfc. You order using a giant tablet. You could have your food brought to your table but there wasn't any table numbers available (I guess the staff didn't want to and had hid them). Food was nice and no complaints there. Staff? They need shocking to life, really unfriendly, just people "doing there job and can't wait to go home" was the feeling i got. No interaction with customers, no greetings, nothing, just your number called out. Honestly the worst service we’ve ever received. We stood at the counter for over 20 minutes without even being acknowledged. We both work in catering, so we completely understand that things can get busy or take time but that’s exactly why you acknowledge customers and let them know you’ll be with them shortly. It’s basic courtesy. What makes it worse is that when we arrived (just after 10pm), we were the only people there. There was no excuse not to at least acknowledge us. We had to wait for chicken but the staff came to the table and told us there would be a delay. They gave us our bottle of drink while we wait and then an extra free bottle with the food. Great service and staff. Because the chicken was all cooked fresh it was probably the best I've tasted.
