Monkey Play★★★★Quirky pub with sloping floors and outside space to sit and drink and eat by the river. Food was good. Ordered club sandwich. Salad and bread good. Chicken a little dry and bacon too thick and fatty for me, prefer thin and crisp. More mayonnaise needed but plenty of sachets available so you can add more. Food 4/5. Friendly staff. Worth a visit for its quirkiness and proximal to the Thames.
Keith Howell★★★★★Whe stepping into this pub you are stepping into a slice of history. There has been a pub on this site since 1565 and it's been a building since 1460. Very cheery bar staff. Wide variety of seating options inside. Or sit outside and watch the world sail by. Popular for food.
Tania Waller★★★★We went for lunch. On arrival we had a personal welcome from the waiting staff. We chose lamb and feta burger and scampi and chips. The 6oz burger arrived sky high on the plate however I was told the burger tasted very salty. I had scampi and chips and was not impressed with the quality of the scampi, however, the chips were nice and I liked that it was served with peas and salad. We shared a bread and butter pudding which was a huge portion of stacked up slices of brown and white bread. It was dry with little buttery taste. However we were offered ice cream and custard to go with it:-). The
