First time in Guildford, and we decided to try the Sunday roast at The Drummond. Unfortunately, our first impression wasn’t great. When we arrived, the waitress seemed a bit confused about where we could sit. At first, she said we could choose any table, but then the manager told us to sit at the table near the door. We didn’t mind and just sat there because we were tired and hungry. The manager also wasn’t very welcoming, which didn’t make us feel very comfortable. We ordered our food at around 1:44 pm by scanning the QR code on the table. After waiting 30 minutes, we still hadn’t received

I'm sometimes a bit dubious about ordering a roast in a pub, but the food at The Drummond has been so good lately that I took a punt and I was not disappointed. This was one of the best pub roasts I've ever had, we were told that the beef was only on until a certain time and upon ordering it, we're told when it came out of the oven and was clearly given time to rest. Everything was cooked to perfection, I'm just sorry I didn't have space for pudding. Highly recommended!!!

A special shout-out to Riley Watts, who was brilliant from start to finish. Friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what he does, Riley helped make a great meal even better. The only disappointment? I didn’t leave myself enough room for dessert! ☺️
