This has to be the best quality fish and chips I’ve had in ages and I travel around to find a good one. It’s better than anything I’ve had in central London too. You have to eat it there. Piping hot fresh chips perfectly golden and crispy on the outside with that satisfying crunch when you bite in, giving way to a fluffy yet dense potato interior that was full of rich, comforting flavour. Each chip felt substantial, like it had soaked up just enough of the fryer’s magic to be indulgent without being greasy. Fish so fresh it must have been just caught. 5 Stars! ⭐️ Was in town for the weekend staying at the campsite around the corner, fancied a fish & chips and came across captains. Best fish & chips I’ve had in a long time, chips were out of this world! Dave’s curry sauce , absolutely spot on 👌🏼 wanted to go back this morning for cheeky seconds but they’re closed on Sunday.
