Classic traditional pub, great atmosphere. The place only serves Samuel smith beer on tap, which are all very good, especially the Taddy Lager.The place is severely short staffed, on a Friday night around 6pm only one bartender, doing double duty taking food orders and serving food. The bar packed (people just drinking not ordering food) and the poor guy was running around like crazy. The food was overall very good, especially the burger and meat pie. So we went here last Friday and I can say that the fish and chips was along with the nicest we’ve ever had to be fair really fresh and the batter was light and crispy,really impressed we will return for sure. Edit: wow what can I say we went yesterday and was very disappointed to say the least and where do I start!! Entered the pub and there was a strange like burning smell they state they sell coffee but said it’s not working and the food wasn’t not anywhere near as good as last time in fact I spat mine out and said to wife come on let’s go and went to the fish and chip shop across the road!
