Firstly, this is my favourite pub. Like your bed is your favourite bed. It isn’t perfect, but it’s yours and you keep coming back. That’s how I feel about The Stanley. It’s a friendly pub with a great community buzz and decent, respectful punters from all walks of life. If you dropped your phone, someone would probably hand it back to you or leave it behind the bar. What follows sounds quite critical, but it genuinely comes from a good place. Other than the pizzas and steaks, there’s very little that makes you think, “I really fancy that.” Most of the menu feels like something you could make

A fantastic neighborhood pub that seems to always have a sizable crowd of locals enjoying the suds, food, and ambiance of the neighborhood crowd. Made three visits during my stay in the neighborhood. The pizzas were all fantastic - as was all other food eaten by myself and my fellow visitors.

The food was lovely, the service just odd. They seem to hire offbeat staff. Very indie feel but kinda oddballs. Attracts the typical indie N London crowd and quite gay friendly it seemed. Safe atmosphere but lacks a bit of life.

I was there in 2019 with my dad and a friend. We had a great pizza and some good pints. Was there also in 2025. Great atmosphere. I recently learned there is a cat. So Iam sure I will come back to spend some time with the furry girl or boy 😁
