Stopped in for a quick drink with some friends and honestly… I’m a bit confused by some of the negative reviews. It didn’t feel like the same place at all. It’s a simple, no-fuss pub with a really easygoing vibe, exactly what you want in the area. Nothing over the top, just comfortable and welcoming. The lady behind the bar was super friendly and made the whole experience feel even nicer. Would definitely pop in again 😊

Man I loved this pub. Stumbled across it one evening with my brother. Friendly atmosphere with a reggae/skinhead DJ set. Amazing South American food and great staff. Proper old school local with brown tiles, old pub signage and wooden floors.

The Royal Exchange Pub on the corner of Sale Place and St Michael's Street is a simple friendly pub. A smallish selection of cask and keg beers. Plenty of sport on the big screen. Music plays a part here too with a collection of decks awaiting vinyl when the sun goes down. A good rough and ready local pub.
