Had my first visit to Strand Cafe with my friend and we absolutely loved it. I had the beef pad thai and it was delicious, really flavourful and fresh!! The lady who served us welcomed us with a smile and made us feel very comfortable from the moment we walked in. We also spoke with a gentleman there who was incredibly kind and friendly as well. Such a lovely atmosphere overall. It was our first time visiting, but we definitely want to come back and try more things from the menu!!! ☺️

We arrived here on a mid Sunday morning. No one else was around. We had a very friendly and warm welcome and we took our time to peruse the menu. The freshly made apple juice was delicious and probably the best we had ever drunk albeit you pay for it. We sat in the window where we watched the world go by. Within 20 mins the cafe started to get very busy, due to the finishing of the kew half marathon. The food we had was delicious and filling. This cafe is well worth a visit. Absolutely incredible Thai food at The Strand Café in Richmond! The flavours were rich, fresh and beautifully balanced, and everything was cooked to perfection. The Thai green chicken curry was honestly the best I have ever tasted — and it is my favourite dish, so that says a lot! A huge thank you to Edris, the chef, for such an amazing meal, and to Lily, our waitress, who was so sweet, welcoming and accommodating. Came for the 4.5 star rating, should have scrolled down to the 1 star reviews. Wouldn’t recommend. £9 pints are outrageous. Starters were terrible, mains were okay. We didn’t finish the mains.
