Omg omg. was out on bike needed to eat Sun May 2026. Went in for food decided on a Donner Kabab . Well it is the best K ever had. So full of fresh meat and gorgeous salad. Loads of salad cucumber, onions, tomatoes all so fresh and colourful. It was so good i can’t face another for while. Chips in batter new to me. Great food well worth a try and you can sit in. Had fish and chips here after a gig at the King and Castle across the road. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the fish was fryed freshly for us and was delicious. They allowed us to sit at a table even though they had already tidied up for the night and brought proper cutlery for us to use.

This was always my favourite chippy some years ago. Hadn't been for various reasons until this week! What a disaster! Asked for plaice cooked to order! Awful! Batter was brick hard & the fish inside was an uncooked mush! £9.80! Won't be back! In fairness, the chips were great & the staff lovely, but inedible fish for nearly 10 quid destroyed the reason for going there!
