We did not use the hotel, we went there for a meal and drinks (my Husband and myself). The food was lovely although a bit pricey. We both got the steak pie and it was very nice (one thing I think the gravy served with it should have been in a small gravy boat so I could use it as I wanted to). The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Staff professional and helpful. We do not live very far from the Bowes therefore within easy access as we live near the A1. Overall would recommend.

We visited the restaurant, we didn't use the hotel itself. We had starters of Apple and Parsnip Soup with sourdough- delicious. We then had Teriyaki Chicken Bowl and Mince and Leek Dumpling and veg. both scrumptious. Good portions size. Staff were professional, friendly and helpful.

We stayed Tuesday till Saturday morning.Breakfast every day. Delicious and very fresh. We had a couple of evening meals there to die for. And their chips so tasty. The accommodation was outstanding and the staff were very very helpful. We stayed in one of their disabled access rooms. It had a wetroom. Which was very spacious. And plenty of room for the wheelchair. The bed was very comfortable. With plenty of tea and coffee. We will be staying there again and again

A lovely stop over with my two boys, bar and staff were wonderful, room clean and couldn’t fault our quality of sleep, check in was pleasant and easy (again lovely staff). Only ten minutes drive from metrocentre for some evening cinema. Breakfast was exceptional. Couldn’t even finish half the plate and the quality was superb. Very impressed for the price, an absolute bargain. We had a lovely brief time thank you for looking after us
