We have visited Beaverbrook before and always spoken highly of it. That is precisely why this stay — planned as a special family occasion — has left us so utterly devastated. Whatever standard this hotel once held itself to, it has clearly slipped dramatically, and the recent negative reviews on here tell exactly the same story we experienced firsthand. We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at Beaverbrook who made our visit so special. Edward was so welcoming and friendly from the moment we met him and he shared so much of the history of the place which was just brilliant. He really went above and beyond and we are so grateful for his time and help answering all our questions. We also had Sunday lunch at the Garden House, which was absolutely incredible, especially the squid, chicken roast and the pavlova, it couldn't have been more perfect. We stayed at Beaverbrook for a countryside break and there were some lovely elements. The Village rooms are beautiful, the estate has real charm, and the team were friendly and helpful. However, the experience felt mixed for the price point. The Village is quite far from the main hotel, spa, gym and restaurants, which is not very clear from the website. Each journey required around a ten minute buggy ride. Breakfast was good but limited, especially the fruit selection, which felt disappointing for a room over £800 per night. Wonderful Had lunch at the Garden House, food was delicious the cocktails were top notch. The staff were the best of the best so friendly, it was my Mum’s 80th birthday and they went out of their way to make it special. We were also given a guided tour round the house by a charming knowledgeable girl.
