A wonderful community centre/hub, with lots to offer. There's a café that's a really a welcoming environment and which sells a good range of tasty, home-cooked foods (savoury and sweet) and drinks. There's a wide range of social activities, hosted by Space2 ("working creatively with communities to develop a thriving, hopeful and sustainable future together"), including gardening, arts and crafts, music and drama, and exercising and socialising, held every week, and mostly free too! Go along and check it out

A fantastic community hub inside an old fire station. The cafe is friendly and they have a huge choice of freshly cooked food, then finish off with a piece of homemade cake.

I have now visited here three times over the last couple of days to pass time whilst a relative has been in hospital nearby. Café staff are very kind and welcoming and you are not pressured to leave as soon as you've finished your food and drink, which, for me, included a lovely piece of gluten free carrot cake! In fact I spent over three hours here yesterday, having first had breakfast, then I joined in a beginners tai chi session, followed by sitting on a sofa crocheting whilst enjoying a cup of tea, using a hook and some yarn found for me by a very kind lady working in one of the activity

You can still see the strong heritage of the previous occupant, the fire 🔥 department. Model miniature fire engines, a fireman's uniform, these make a great ice-breaker. The meeting room on the ground floor is great for medium sized events. Approximately 30 people with tables and chairs. Community and other local groups can hire the place. There is a reception desk. Toilets are clean. A parking lot takes up the front of the building.
