Sai Kaw★★★★Here's the rephrased review: After three years, it was great to return and see some familiar faces still on the team — the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We went for the unlimited thali at £19.99, which carried a £2.95 supplement for the railway lamb curry, but it was absolutely worth it. The thali plate offered a generous variety of options and was fully refillable, though service did feel a little slow when it came to attending to our table. I also ordered the £14.95 deal, which included a curry and a drink, but was surprised to find an extra £2.95 charge added for my juice.
Littledave★★★★Food arrived hot and tasty. Food tasted fresh service was very good, food didn’t take long to arrive, waitresses was very attentive and made some good recommendations. Definitely recommend we will try the lunch time deal next time
Grant Stanley★★★We haven’t had a decent Indian meal for a while and Tamatanga didn’t break the cycle. It’s Sunday evening, we can’t be bothered to cook and we can’t be bothered to get all dressed up either. We parked in the Highcross car park for £2.50 and decided to choose a restaurant from the many situated on shires lane. Don’t get me wrong, the food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t excellent either. We had a sharing platter with some sides of Tame fries. There were tiny popadoms, a mini naan, a small rice and 5 little dishes of food and 2 smaller dishes of sauce. See pictures! The food was ok but this is not
Dipali Devji★Visited Tamanga for lunch and ordered the chicken biryani, which cost £16.99. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing and nowhere near what I would expect from a proper biryani. The chicken tasted strange, almost as if it had been taken from an old curry and mixed into rice rather than being freshly cooked as part of the dish. The flavours were off, and it simply did not taste like biryani at all. For the price, the quality was not worth it. It felt like a waste of money, and I left disappointed with the meal. In my opinion, the restaurant is more hype than substance. I would much rather sp
