Such a cute place, lovely ambience nicely decorated. Pretty good menu options and a few cakes available. Everything felt freshly made and portion sizes really good for price. Staff were lovely and would definitely return. PS Located up a few sets of stairs!!

I came along with my family for breakfast, i was told we had 15 mins to order but plenty time to eat. so we did rush and got in a que of two people. about 20 minutes later i was served by a very quiet person who didnt seem interested, barely had the time to ask if i want a drink ( even with 8 of us paying for food and drinks) . i put this down to it being a bad day so moved on. Classic vegetarian café dating back to the hippie era, with charmingly worn floorboards and a retro vegetarian menu full of Cranks-style bakes and macrobiotics-influenced grain and soy sauce salads (ask your parents). Lovely community hub for Scouse bohemians, weeaboos and other freethinkers, too - you always overhear interesting conversations in here. I have strong nostalgic memories of this style of food because it was the first type of vegetarian cuisine my mother learned how to cook, but I'm not sure it's relevant to the post-Beyond Meat 1000 hour vegan Dubai matcha potatoes generation. Wonderful place to get a vegan meal. I especially recommend the smashed avocados as it has a dash of lemon and that makes it sing. It's refreshing to see a place that celebrates radical politics -- the resistance to corporate/billionaire politics. Quite hard to find but well worth the search. It's an old place and so I think it's safe to say that it's part of Liverpool's cultural history.
