Sutapa B★★★★★A wonderful hidden treasure right in the heart of London in Trafalgar Square. This popular café has been a favourite of tourists and locals alike for 30 years. Make way towards the stunning spire of St Martin-in-the-Fields church and you can spot the 2 entrances. They do have a lift which my friend used because she had mobility issues. Toilets are clean and the food is lovely and fresh. I especially loved their salads. But pastries are great too! The crypt has a chequered history. During the 1930s, the space was a well-known homeless shelter. Up to 140 people would sleep down here every night.
Anne Marie Stagg★★★★This is a beautiful cafe in the lower floor of St Martin in the Fields just off Trafalgar Square; as such it is very busy and also quite pricey. The café offers a great selection of salads and sandwiches, as well as traditional English favorites like fish and chips with mushy peas and jacket potatoes. They also have a variety of enticing desserts, but I resisted the temptation to get cake. I enjoyed th
Jasdeep Grewal★★★★★Here’s a polished version for a Google review: Café in the Crypt is one of London’s most unique café experiences. Located beneath St Martin-in-the-Fields, just steps from Trafalgar Square, the café is set within a beautifully restored historic crypt featuring impressive brick-vaulted ceilings and striking architectural details. The atmosphere is both cozy and memorable, making it much more than just a place to grab a coffee. The café offers a variety of hot and cold food options, making it an excellent stop while exploring central London. During our visit, we enjoyed the avocado sandwich and
