Rachael Critchlow★This place has potential to be so much better. We stopped by for the first time today but were very underwhelmed. Firstly the food was very expensive for what it was. My sister paid £7 for just 1 oatcake and it was presented by itself with no salad garnish etc. At a similar local establishment you can pay the same amount for a lot more. Secondly it would be so much more appealing to want to return to if it didn’t look quite so shabby. Surely it doesn’t cost much to pull up weeds, remove junk like the dusty table and chair we saw outside the toilet, and give some of the old buildings and walls
Nicci Henderson★★★★★This place has been such a great find!! I recently moved to the area and am so pleased I stumbled across this. Coffee and breakfast were fabulous, staff are friendly. Plenty of seating inside and outside, dog friendly. This will definitely be my new weekend breakfast spot!
Sue Miller★★★★Only dropped a star, because I feel that its a tad expensive especially the cakes . They are all homemade and yummy ,but the slices are thin. Always clean even outside. Was disappointed little as we sat and chose what e wanted only to be told on ordering that the kitchen closed at 3 o'c with 2 young hungry children they were upset, the cake selection wasn't that great at that time either. I understand that they close at whatever times ,BUT, we should have been made aware that hot food had stopped being served instead of letting us settle in.
Fearne Tipping★★★★★had mother’s day afternoon tea. it was divine and my very picky mum loved it. as a professional pastry chef and self proclaimed baker herself she was very impressed with the quality of food given. arrived early due to unexpected lack of traffic heading north but was sat immediately, staff are lovely and their cocktail menu is excellent. couldn’t recommend this place more, especially considering prices are more than reasonable and portions are mega with opportunities for take-home boxes for unfinished food.
