Gaz★★★★★First visit in some time to this pub local to me. Atmosphere and ambience is of a lovely older pub but with a modern touch. Staff were very welcoming, cheerful and attentive throughout our stay. The food was lovely. I had the sausages and mash with seasonal vegetables and gravy. Excellent! Sausages were very tasty and were well cooked, just as I like them. For pudding I had the honeycomb cheesecake and ice cream which was very good. To drink I had 2 pints of Orchard Thieves cider. New one on me and had a crisp and slightly dry taste. Will definitely be going back soon.
Karen Stockden★★★★★Lovely cosy English pub in Penn. It was cold day and they had the fire going. So welcoming and cosy. The food was delicious and a great menu which made it difficult to choose.
Peter Swanson★★★★★While on a family catch up from Australia we called in for a drink and a snack and were greeted with a smile from the awesome staff and instantly felt at home. The service was super quick and as we tucked into our chilli mussels and sourdough along with the nice cold pints, we realised that we've discovered a new "local". The place has an indescribable vibe that needs to be experienced to be believed. 10 out of 10 in every aspect guys.👌

Starters were lovely, went in as a group, whitebait and calamari was well portioned, so much so I felt two croquettes a little measly. Mains were very good with healthy portion sizes, the fish especially was quite large, although the peas weren't great. I have to say the chips are fantastic (you get them with the burger as well) and are easily demolished. The Caesar salad was alrigh
