We had a fantastic dining experience at the Hinds head. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. The waitress who mainly served us was great at providing descriptions for each of the dishes and giving her suggestions. The food was absolutely delicious. The fish just melts in your mouth and the sauces provided are really interesting and pair well. Terrine en croute starter was lovely as were the scotch eggs and sausages. We ordered 400g Chateaubriand which was plenty for two, and was cooked fresh to perfection. I left a note on my booki

I was taken here for lunch on my birthday and was really made to feel special. The staff were absolutely lovely and were able to explain each dish on the menu in great detail. The Mushroom Parfait was heavenly and incredibly flavourful. The Crispy Haddock with the salt and vinegar fries was 10/10. My girlfriend called ahead and mentioned how much I love chips, and the kitchen prepared a small tasting of different cuts of chips for me to try and review. It really made me feel special and made the whole experience memorable!

I stopped here during a 120-mile cycling journey and had such a great experience. Jack behind the bar was incredibly kind and helpful — he charged all my gear including my iPhone and bike lights while I rested. The IPA was excellent too. After a long day on the bike, the friendly atmosphere and genuine hospitality really stood out. One of the nicest pubs I’ve visited and I’d happily return again. Highly recommended!

Stunning Michelin starred pub, Heston Blumenthal’s. It was our first time: Sunday menu, not à la carte. We chose some of the snacks ( scotch egg & mushrooms tartine) than salmon as a starter and than pork roast as main course plus fish. Stunning presentation ( see pictures) amazing quality of food. We loved the pub, the atmosphere as well and the Britishness of this place. Outstanding customer service, thanks NICHOLAS for looking after us so well! We will certainly be back !!!!
