This is a proper locals pub in the middle of the Northern Quarter. Only been a handfull of times in the last 50 years as it does not sell real ale. Luckily Casta knows that you can get a good pint of Guinness for me and Cruzcampo for him. Outside seating for the better days. I like the open plan interior, has a good vibe. There is a DJ station. I wonder if anybody still tinkles the ivories of the old Joanna at the back? Great Landlord, ROBERT! He is worth 5* on his own.
