We stopped at The Globe for a quick breakfast while passing through London. We’d been here before and really liked it, so we expected the same experience. Sadly, this visit was nothing like the last one. We arrived at 11:30, the pub was almost empty, and we still waited around 40 minutes for our food. Then we saw our order being taken to another table that had ordered after us. After I pointed it out, we had to wait again. I visited here for a work social and the team here were super nice and friendly. Big up Jack to remember my drink order after one drink haha! Daniel was super nice and chatty really made us feel comfortable. Zack was very attentive and (I think he is the manager) he runs the bar well and ensures everything is running smooth 100% cannot fault! Courtney looked after us and made sure we looked after.

First time here, nice pub and at the time we went (1130) there was plenty of seating. Staff were friendly and kind enough to point out the price difference in a soft drink from my previous order before it was poured. Food was very nice too. It was a lovely sunny day when we went so we sat outside before we went in to eat.

The lunch deal is an utter con / rip off. Ordered the steak sandwich and wanted the glass of red wine (an additional £2). There was no house red and they refused to sub out for another red. Alarm bell number 1. Steak sandwich comes and it’s basically all cheap white loaf with a small number of incredibly thin pieces of steak. I’m guessing about 20g of meat in total and definitely not like any steak sandwich I’ve seen. The staff were nice and agreed and went to fix it but basically the same again. I’m sure a great return for the cost of making the sandwich for the pub but terribly overprice
