All day I craved a nice portion of chips and a roll. Our local chippie was closed so we came here and they don’t do the chicken burger I usually get so decided on veggie burger and chips. Got home and the bun just fell in half all over the box so after holding it all together it was like eating a soggy mess then went for the chips and this is why I decided to write this review. The chips were darkish, soggy and mushy. Only had some for a roll I buttered at home and threw the rest away honestly and I don’t like wasting food that’s not like me but I couldn’t finish them. Not even half the bag.

Best Fish and Chips ever. The food quality is significantly better than the other places in the area. Portions are very generous. Never had a bad experience here. Easy to park in front of the shop.

I used to come to Mr CoD for years and they were always amazing. I recently came back, however, and unfortunately today was very different. The cod was burnt, and the batter on the fish was dark and unpleasant. The chips were also not cooked properly. It was really disappointing, especially as I can see the same issue happened about a year ago. Please consider changing the batter or adjusting the cooking process.
