Adesuwa Ehigie★★★★★We Had a fantastic meal at African Base today and will definitely be back. *The food* Ordered the jollof rice with grilled chicken and a side of plantain. Flavours were spot on: rich, well seasoned, and tasted properly home-cooked. Portions are generous and everything came out hot and fresh. The suya was tender with a proper kick, and the pepper soup had real depth. You can tell they don’t cut corners with ingredients. *The service & vibe* Staff were welcoming from the moment we walked in. They took time to explain dishes for first-timers and checked in without hovering. Food came out quickl
Celestina F★★Do not be fooled by the decent reviews! I ordered Pounded yam and Egusi from this restaurant via uber eats and when the food arrived I was highly disappointed. The container was so tiny and only filled 1/4 of the way with soup. The rest was bokoto and goat meat, which had huge bones, so there wasn’t even much of the meat either. I still had half of the pounded yam remaining after the stew was already finished. Definitely not worth what I spent- save your money and order from elsewhere!

The moment I opened the container, the soup smelled burnt, but I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, eating it confirmed my fears. It was completely tasteless. The only “meat” in the dish were tiny pieces of towel tripe, and everything else that looked like meat turned out to be bones. To make matters worse, I found burnt crumbs throughout the soup, as if it had been scooped directly from the burnt bottom of the pot. I was genuinely disappointed. I wouldn’t
Adenike Adewale★★★★**Restaurant Review: Mixed Experience** I recently dined at African Base Restaurant, and while the food was exceptional, the overall experience was a bit mixed. Let's start with the positives - the food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the grilled tilapia fish for £28, which came with a side of salad, plantain, and two delightful sauces. It was easily a 10/10 in terms of taste and presentation. However, the service left much to be desired. My friend and I were disappointed by the attitude of one particular server. Their demeanor was quite off-putting, especially considering it was my fir
