Bernadette Smith★★★★★We eat here with friends regularly and can’t recommend the food highly enough. The carvery is excellent and very reasonably priced. A particularly favourite of mine is the chicken in cream sauce with the accompaniment of new potatoes in rosemary, the staff are always friendly and happy to oblige with extra sauce etc.😁
Callum Matthew★Old fella who runs the place kicked me and my companion out of the pub within 2 minutes of entering. We were simply trying to have some fun on the slot machines but then got asked if we’d buy a drink. Hes a nasty piece of work.
joe sansom★I came here at 10:30pm on 22nd may 2026. Me and a friend were rudely greeted by the manager then he swiftly told us buy a pint or leave. We had been inside under 15 seconds. Feeling rather forced we chose to leave as I’m not going to buy a pint when I’m told to, I’ll buy when I want. Terrible hospitality from the manager. Lost potential customers trying to give the place a try. No wonder I have never been before and I’m a local.
Marianne Lotter-Jones★We spent a lot of money on very little, very simple food. I cook better than this at home. I had a simple Arabiata pasta (pretty much the only vegetarian option) and the portion size was tiny for what it was (just pasta and sauce). The sauce tasted like shop bought tomato sauce. My friend had chicken and potatoes and again the portion size was tiny, especially stingy on the potatoes - how expensive are potatoes these days?
