Really enjoyed our visit to OPA. The food was absolutely spot on — full of flavour, cooked properly, and really generous portions. Everything we had tasted fresh and authentic, especially the meat dishes, which were tender and well seasoned. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, not pretentious at all, and the staff were lovely — friendly, attentive, and happy to help without hovering. You genuinely feel looked after. Great value for money and a nice change from the usual places around. If you’re in North Shields and fancy proper Greek food, this place is well worth a visit. We’ll definit

We used to frequent OPAs regularly but found the quality of food had dropped off 3 months ago. The restaurant is now under new ownership and we have been twice over the past 10 days. The quality and quantity of food is good but found it rather pricey as the prices seemed to have been hiked by about £4 per course. Similarly the price of the local wine has been increased significantly. It’s a shame as it’s our local restaurant but the prices are more akin to Newcastle city centre!

Best Greek food in North Tyneside, as well as amazing Sunday dinners for 11 / 12 quid. Food is fresh and delicious - and the portions are nice and big! Lovely staff and great service. Can't really recommend enough.

Went here on a Friday, took our booking with very little nice , we were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming waitress who showed us to our table. Not long after they took our order for food and drinks. The drinks arrived promptly followed shortly after that by our starter of bruschetta, calamari and garlic bread, all beautifully cooked and presented. Then for mains we had gyros and a big beautiful seafood platter. Everything cooked to perfection. Amazing food, great service. Would highly recommend
