Popped into this interesting old pub on my travels. Only had a half which did the job. It’s directly opposite the old Lyon’s salt works. Fairly big inside and well done out. It’s pretty cosy. There’s a games room with a good pool table and darts board. The building probably has a great history but I couldn’t get to the bottom of it on my brief visit. The young lady behind the bar was very friendly and chatty. Dog friendly. The kitchen isn’t up and running as of yet but hopefully will soon. The carpark is big and flat enough for a van stop over but you’ll have to ring ahead as they won’t take

What a fabulous afternoon. The Marston Festival went on from Friday through till Monday. The entertainment was great and we especially enjoyed our friends Barney and Jo's jazz set. The food was lovely and the staff so friendly. Thank you ☺️🎶☺️
