Went for a Sunday roast, and the place is incredibly cute. You might want to book a table as it was bit of a struggle to get a table. Turky was slightly on the dry side, however tasty. The Sunday beef was delicious, however the pork belly was without a doubt the winner! Tasty delicious and perfect. Their scots eggs is a real treat, and works perfectly as a side. Their crumble was incredible, however i do have a weakspot for crumble, so that would always be a success with me. 😅 Waiters and bartenders are wonderful and the range of beers are decent and they have something for every taste. Great antique pub with rose glass interior and high ceiling dining room with lots of light. We had such a pleasant Easter Sunday roast with all the requests being met. We tried the beef, chicken and pork belly roast which turned out to be juicy and tender. We were served by Alice and Coco. They were very attentive and caring, with only short wait of time the food came. The yorkshire puddings were so crunchy, went so well with the meat and sides. The portions are great and we wrapped our long Easter lunch with vegan choco brownies and their famous sticky toffee pudding, mamamia. Definitely book

We visited on a Sunday and ordered the Sunday roast—chicken from the menu—which, combined with a pint of Guinness, made for a very tasty and enjoyable lunch. However, I was negatively surprised by the smell in the restrooms, especially the men’s, which was quite unpleasant. I didn’t expect this given the quality and well-maintained image of the pub. Prices are typical for Notting Hill.

The Elgin Pub is a very typical traditional English pub, and it delivers pretty much exactly what you’d expect from that kind of place. It’s free seating, with orders made directly at the counter, which keeps things casual and straightforward. Service was good once you placed your order — efficient and friendly enough, without any fuss. The food portions are surprisingly large, almost overwhelmingly so, which is great if you’re hungry. Taste-wise, though, it’s standard pub food — decent, filling, but nothing that really wows or leaves a lasting impression. You go here more for comfort and fa
