Dined there on the New Year’s Day without a reservation. Staff were awesome and very accommodating. Salad bar is fresh and flavourful, fish soup is outstanding. I was very happy that they offer a non breaded calamari option which was delicious. The venison with black pepper sauce was tender and juicy. The cabbage bed was a bit bland but overall a good dish. It was a great experience!

Scallops nicely cooked. Squid not crispy. Grilled Tiger Prawns excellent. Grilled Whole Lobster excellent. Chips disappointed. Didn't feel like double cooked but refried from overnight.

The food here is pretty good, but I think they could be more creative for non-meat diners. The veggie patty option was unappealing so the mushroom and asparagus starters were my best choice for a main option. Definitely not the best in Penarth for vegan/veggie options. Steak wasn’t great either apparently, but diners were from Texas, so their bar is much higher.

Lovely restaurant with an extensive wine selection. Food is high quality and a lovely selection. Can be a little loud when it’s busy.
